A horse market in medieval times, the rectangular shaped Wenceslas Square is actually a broad, half-mile long boulevard. With neo-Renaissance Národní museum and the statue of Saint Wenceslas dominating its upper slope and the rows of shops, hotels, restaurants, cafes, theatres and nightclubs, Wenceslas Square is a happy mixture of old and new; both the commercial hub and the boulevard that never sleeps.
